Hiya

A question about posting comments to newblog. Most blog software I'm familiar with (wordpress, MT, etc) allows you to post as an unauthenticated user - I can post a message and give my name as "Mark" but no attempt at authentication is done. This seems to work well for most blogs.
However, newblog seems to be either fully anonymous, or fully authenticated, with no inbetween ability.

Has there been any thoughts about adding this as an option?

the short answer is Yes and Yes.

You can read more about the new added feature in the new (DNN) blog module in this blog entry

Yes this feature is already add to the wish list for a future release, you can find it here

BTW: The new blog module is now available for download
