I had both the module & web.config set to 605m (605000) which is larger than the 590m vid.

This was on a new install (version 3.1.1) with sql 2005 CTP. No upgrades, happened right after I uploaded the vid & got the error.

I dont have to ftp into the site. I actually have physical access to the server & the vid was on the servers local hd. I did try placing the vid in the portal root directory & then uploaded & it did appear in the downloads however when myself or anyone else tried to download it nothing happened. Didnt get any errors, just reloaded the page after maybe a couple mins.

I have already deleted the site & db so when I get a chance Ill let ya know how things go 2nd time around.

Loading files timing out
Posted: 01 Mar 06 11:46 AM (Germany)

Hi All,

I have been trying to load some pc video files to my dnn site using dnn portal download.....6mb works fine but when I try 12mb it takes quite a while and then just goes to the web page not found page.....it looks like some kind of time out rather than a max file size exceeded. To get around this I loaded a small file of the same name and then ftped the real file across. The only problem I have with this is that the file size is set to 0 on the download.

Is there anyway to either:

a) Figure out why the load is not working and fix that? (I see other appends here where people are loading hundreds of mb in one file)

b) Just get the size of the file adjusted so it looks ok in the download window?

Thanks

Peter

PS. Great module...I particularly like the fact that it puts .resources at the end of the file and generates some kind of key as well....looks a little more secure for downloading sensitive files.
