Does anyone have a great template for DNNPortal-Download that they would like to share?
I have a customer that wants a few changes like making the download button more apparent to novices. More brighter, More colorful, etc.
My site that is being developed currently only has 1 or 2 items to download. I am using the simple-download display template.
My user want to have the Download words increased in font size and color. Or he want an image icon placed there. So he can have a different background color just where the download words are.
He also does not want to tell everyone how many times the items been download. He wants to know but he doesn't want to tell everyone that the item is not popular.
Concerning the ratings stars or balls, he would like to be able to use a lightbulb instead or someother related icon. Maybe a christmas tree for christmas stuff. or hearts for Valentine stuff. I hope you get the idea.
How do I change the background colors on this module. I edit the settings and change the color to a light blue (#E7F0FF) and it does not change. Thanks fo the help.
First let me ask which version of DNNPortal-Download you are using ?
The download is defined as a LinkButton, so an image is not provided. You can add a property called CssClass into the template.xml in the section DOWNLOAD (have a look at the default template), then you can edit the css class so that the download will be shown in red color or whatever.
You can remove the DOWNLOADCOUNT property from the template, then the download count will not be shown. As default you can not setup the module that only admins can see the download count, if you like to this, you must change it in the source code which is available for registered users for FREE
Create a set of ten different images with christmas trees or whatever name the images like the images named from the other ratings, create a sub directory under the Images/ratings folder and you can setup the new rating images in the module settings.
You must setup anything for the module in the templates.
